Obituary Notice- Michael J. Marrano

FORESTVILLE:  Michael J. Marrano, 60, of Round Top Road, Forestville, died Friday, June 15th, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Williamsville, following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Gowanda, on June 3, 1952, the son of the late Victor and Rose (Kulheim) Marrano.

He graduated from Gowanda Central School and received his RN from JCC.  Mr. Marrano served in the U.S. Army, worked as a Treatment Team Leader for the former JN Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg, for 34 years and was a member of Cherry Creek Masonic Lodge #384, Phoenix Masonic Lodge #262, Gowanda, South Dayton American Legion Post #1593  and Gowanda VFW Post #5007.

Survivors include his wife Birgitta (Kielwasser) Marrano, of Forestville, a sister, Debra (Thomas) Leenhouts, of Hammond, NY and two brothers, Victor (Michel) Marrano, of Virginia Beach, VA and Frank Marrano, of Scappoose, OR.  Also surviving are 3 nephews, Victor David, Christopher & Frank Marrano.

There will be no visitation observed.  Private Services will be at the convenience of family.

    That is a great picture of Mike that is posted and that is the way we will remember him. He was a great guy and he had a great laugh. Our sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Mikey.

    Mike will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of calling him friend, but I am thankful his physical struggles are over. He was a great person to have on your side in time of need. Sending strength and prayers to Birgitta and family.

    To Birgitta and his family – I send condolences for the loss of a dedicated public servant.
    His contributions are remembered by all who worked with him – his smile and infectious laughter are now part of the goodness left by him to all of us
    May the knowledge of his pain being over be of some small comfort

    Even though it’s 9/7/14. I just found out that Mike passed away in 2012 and am deeply saddened at this news. I worked with Mike for many years and will remember him as having a fun “let it be” personality and being extremely emphatic to other people’s needs.
