Obituary Notice – Mary Jane Masman

MasmanMSHERIDAN:  Mary Jane Masman, commonly known as “Jane” 56, of Rt. 20 Town of Sheridan, died Monday, April 27th, 2020 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA.  She was born in Bellefonte, PA on May 2, 1963, the daughter of the late Donald and Bennett Pauline (Catherman) Peters, Sr.

Mrs. Masman was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School in Mt. Carmel, PA.  She provided Home Health Care for people in the area, babysat for many families and loved children & dogs, especially her own “Cookie”, “Raina” and “Shay”.  Mrs. Masman was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fredonia.

Survivors include her husband Elliott R. Masman of Sheridan, whom she married on July 11, 1992, in Camp Hill, PA, his son Todd, three sisters, Linda Dietrich, Ethel (Richard) Schuetrum, Faye (Robert) Shaw, six brothers, Donald (Donna) Peters, Jr., Samuel Peters, James Peters, Jerry (Christine) Peters, Philip Peters, Donald Peters, III and sister-in-law Patricia Zabel.  Also surviving are her special friend Dylan Shafer, many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers William Peters & Robert Peters, Sr.

Private Funeral Services will be held from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home in Forestville, with Richard M. Ricker, Pastor Emeritus of the First United Methodist Church, Fredonia officiating.  Interment will be in Sheridan Center Cemetery, Town of Sheridan.  A Public Memorial Service will be held later, time & date to be announced.

    Elliott, Jane is going to be missed by so many. We have hope that she is no longer suffering or in pain anymore.
