  1. Margaret Gostomski says:

Many years ago, I had a Christopher Reading in my first grade class at School 7 in Dunkirk. Looking at this young man’s picture, I believe that this is the student I had in my class. I remember Christopher as a tall, nice-looking young boy who was always polite, respectful, smart, and well-behaved. He was an excellent reader (which I’m not surprised that he loved reading books as stated in the obituary)and a very good student in all subjects. I’ve had hundreds and hundreds of students during my career and there are always certain students that stand out….and Christopher was one of those students. My sincere condolences to his family. It was way too early for him to leave this earth but God will watch over him and take of him now. RIP Christopher. I’m sure you were a wonderful young man and I wish I could have seen you and talked to you as an adult. I’m sure you made your family proud and I’m sure you made your old first grade teacher proud too. God Bless!

So sad to hear about this. Chris and my locker were right next to each other all through middle and high school. I shared a lot of study halls with him and he was a really fun person to be around.
It’s awful and seems to unfair to pass so young. My thoughts are with his family and all of our friends. I live a few hours away and won’t be able to make it to the calling or funeral but will be thinking of him.
