Obituary Notice – Lenord M. Fye

FyeLCELORON:  Lenord M. Fye, 80, of Boulevard Avenue, Celoron, formerly of Forestville, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 16th, 2018 at his granddaughter’s home in Fredonia, with family & friends by his side.  He was born in Nanty-Glo, PA on July 22, 1938, the son of the late Merle and Edna (Thomas) Fye.

Mr. Fye worked as a Diesel Mechanic for BFI in Dunkirk, and also worked for Blakely Construction.  He was a Life Member of the Forestville Fire Department, a member of the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association and Hanover Fish & Game Club.  Mr. Fye enjoyed spending time with his family, singing Karaoke, and hunting & fishing.

Survivors include two sons Garry (Wendy) Ernst, Edwin (Mary) Ernst, three daughters, Janice (Ernst) Ebling, Jill (Ernst) Carlson, Lenora (Timothy) White, four brothers, David, Roger, Eddie, Dickie, and four sisters, Marion, Nancy, Edna, and Patty.  Also surviving are several grandchildren, several great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Joyce G. (Frost) Fye, whom he married November 11, 1960 in Dunkirk and who died August 15, 2007, two brothers Ronald & Ervin and two sisters Dorothy & Debbie.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday evening from 7-9 PM from where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Michael Pollock, pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Town of Hanover.  A Fireman’s Service will be conducted by members of the Forestville Fire Department Monday evening at 7 o’clock in the Funeral Home.

    Prayers for all the family and friends! He was such a nice man! I will miss his hug, “how you doing honey” and kiss on the cheek. May he rest easy and fly high!
