PerrySSmith Mills:  Sylvia M. Perry, 82, of Hanover Road, Smith Mills, passed away Thursday, August 23rd, 2018, following a brief illness.  She was born in Buffalo, on December 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Genevieve (Stezney) Bogdan, Sr.

Mrs. Perry attended Orchard Park High School and was the owner of the former Perry Village Ceramics in Angola, for 5 years.  She was a member of the Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association and enjoyed her great grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Lindy Perry, Toni (George) Ortolano, Julie Kohler, a son, Larry W. (Jennifer) Perry and a brother, Vincent Bogdan.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, David (Chelse) Perry, John (Jamie) Kohler, Michael W. Perry, Stephanie Perry, 2 great grandsons Roan and Rorick Kohler and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Larry “Hap” Perry, whom she married on October 9, 1954 in Orchard Park and who died March 19, 2018, by a daughter Debra Ann Perry and by 2 brothers Walter J. Bogdan, Jr. and Richard Bogdan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both “Hap” & Sylvia Perry on Saturday morning (Sept. 1st) at 10 o’clock, from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Central Avenue, Silver Creek, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn, officiating.  Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home Forestville.  To post condolences go to
