    Dear Aunt Beverly,

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Dexter. Our life on this earth has taken us down many journeys and too infrequently have they crossed. I think of times as a youth at Grandma and grandpa’s in the summer, hanging out under the big heart leaved tree, snagging the pods and using them as swords to torment the girls (I was a terrible child), as the men talked of the weighty things of the world.
It’s a sad day for us all, but none compares to the grief of you and your family at this time, and for that, I too grieve.

It is with hope that there is a time in the not to distant future that I might visit with you and my cousin, should circumstance prevail.

Until that time, Peace be with you and your family.
    With love,
    Noel and family

Dear Beverly and the DeGolier family,

Our hearts are heavy with your loss, but look forward to seeing Uncle Dexter in heaven, alongside my parents. Beverly, you and Dexter were such a blessing to my parents as well as to me and my family. We always viewed you as special friends. We will surely miss Dexter. We are praying that you know God’s grace and strength during this time. I wanted to come for the funeral, but class commitments prevented me from doing that. The Grisanti family sends their heartfelt love to each of the DeGolier family.

Dear Aunt Beverly and family…it saddens me to hear of a great man passing. He was a blessing to your family, to me and my parents. He was a shinning example of a family man and hard worker who loved life and God.
It has been an honor to have known Uncle Dexter.
