Dillenburg, III, 73, of Straight Road, Forestville, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 15th, in the Town of Sheridan.  He was born in Dunkirk on March 21, 1939, the son of the late John C. and Wynona (Holdridge) Dillenburg, II.</p>
<p>Mr. Dillenburg was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1957 and in 1959, he graduated from State Ranger School, Wanakena, NY, an affiliate of the State School of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University.</p>
<p>He served with the Army National Guard as a Sgt. from 1962-1968 where he earned the Sharpshooter Badge w/Rifle Bar and Marksmanship Badge w/Pistol Bar.  Mr. Dillenburg served as Clerk of the Chautauqua County Legislature from 1998 to 2002 and also retired as an Industrial Pipe Fitter from the former Al-Tech Specialty Steel, Dunkirk.  Mr. Dillenburg was a former Trustee &amp; Mayor of the Village of Forestville, which is when the tennis &amp; basketball courts were installed, was an Exempt Member &amp; Past President of the Forestville Fire Department, served for 6 years as District Coordinator for former State Assemblyman Rolland Kidder, was former Chairman of the Chautauqua County Democratic Party, former NYS Democratic Committee Person, former Democratic Person of the Year, served in the Chautauqua County Legislature from 1980-1987, where he served on the Finance Committee for 5 years, Chairman of Public Works for 5 out of the 6 years on the committee, Agriculture and Community Development for 2 years, member of Region 9 Forest Practice Board and State Representative, member of the NYS Ranger School Alumni Association, former Supervisor for Town of Arkwright from 1992-2003, former Coach of Forestville Girls Babe Ruth League in the late 1970&#8242;s through early 1980&#8242;s and was a member of the American Chestnut Association.  He was a very giving person and always was willing to give political advice.  Mr. Dillenburg enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially chartered fishing, casinos and scratch off lottery tickets.</p>
<p>Survivors include his wife Carol (Dillenkofer) Dillenburg of Forestville, a daughter, Amy Farnham, of Forestville and a granddaughter Maeghan Farnham.  Also surviving are several nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Carole McCune.</p>
<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Memorial Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock.</p>

Nowak, 62, of Marion, Arkansas, formerly of Silver Creek, died Thursday, April 19th, at home following a brave battle with cancer.  He was born in Silver Creek, on December 12, 1949, the son of Helen (Sypniewski) Nowak, of Brocton and the late Henry Nowak.<br />
Mr. Nowak was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1968.  He enlisted in the Marine Corps for a 3 year term from 1968-1971, serving 2 overseas assignments in Okinawa and Vietnam.  After returning from Vietnam, he served an additional 2 years in the reserves and was honorably discharged in 1974, attaining the rank of Corporal.  His commendation medals included the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal w/2 stars, Vietnamese Campaign Medal and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.  He also received certificates of acknowledgement for truck driving supplies in and out of war zones.<br />
Following his discharge, he worked as a Bricklayer locally, continuing in the family tradition of masonry.  Mr. Nowak relocated to Texas after accepting a job with Kellogg Brown &amp; Root Construction Company.  After several years, he transferred to the Memphis area and eventually settled in Arkansas, to continue working in his trade.  Mr. Nowak was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.  While residing in Spring, Texas, for a period of time he owned and operated a small game fur buying &amp; trading business.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed country music and westerns.  Mr. Nowak frequently spoke of Western New York &amp; Sheridan, where he grew up.  He enjoyed being raised in the country, where he would often hunt and fish with his brothers.  Mr. Nowak was a lifelong member of Samuel Cimino VFW Post #6472, Silver Creek and a former member of the Lakeshore Marine Corps League.<br />
Surviving besides his mother are a son, James Nowak, II, of Silver Creek, a daughter, Jenlene Nowak, of Arlington, VA, a brother, John Nowak, of Lyndonville, NY, a sister, Lynette (Greg) Arnold, of Webster, NY, long time companion Jo Ann Rogers, of Marion, AR, 1 uncle, several nieces, nephews, cousins and the mother of his children, Patricia Nowak, of Silver Creek.  Besides his father he was predeceased by a brother Thomas Nowak.<br />
There will be no visitation observed.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 165 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, on Saturday, May 19th at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn, pastor officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Silver Creek, where graveside military services will be conducted.<br />

Kaicher, 54, of King Road, Forestville, died suddenly Saturday, May 12th, at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk.  He was born in White Plains, NY on September 23, 1957,  devoted son of Annette (Auld) Kaicher, of White Plains, NY and the late Dr. Thomas Kaicher.</p>
<p>Jim received a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree from Niagara University and his Master&#8217;s Degree from St. Joseph College, Joliet, IL, he served in Panama with the Air Force.  Jim was the most loving father and husband, instilling faith and kindness in his 3 beloved children.  He was a kind and fair manager at work.</p>
<p>He was the loving husband of Cathy (Harp) Kaicher, whom he married on Nov. 29, 1991, in Forestville, proud and loving father of Caroline, Julia and Luke Kaicher, all age 11, of Forestville, loving brother of Monica Kaicher, Suzanne Kaicher, Matthew Kaicher and Mark (Meg) Kaicher.  Also surviving are Sister-in-law Bukurije Kaicher, Father-in-law David Harp and uncle to many nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides his father he was predeceased by a brother Thomas Kaicher.</p>
<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Prayer Services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o&#8217;clock followed by A Mass of Christian Burial from St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville, at 10 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Daniel F. Fiebelkorn, pastor officiating.  Interment will follow in Smith Mills Cemetery, Town of Hanover.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>DUNKIRK:  Wilma M. Keith, 91, a resident of the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, formerly of Brocton, died Thursday, May 3rd, at her residence.   She was born in Silver Creek on December 4, 1920, the daughter of the late William and Bertha (West) Wilkes.</p>
<p>Mrs. Keith was a graduate of Forestville High School, Class of 1938.  She moved to Brocton, where she resided for many years before moving to Dunkirk.  Mrs. Keith worked as an Instructor for the former Barmon&#8217;s Dress Factory in Westfield and worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Niagara Manufacturing Co. Brocton, retiring in 1979.  She was a past member of the former Mary Martha Missionary Society in Brocton and was an avid sewer and enjoyed making crafts.</p>
<p>Survivors include a sister, Irene Van Rensselaer, of Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, nephews David Van Rensselaer, Richard Van Rensselaer &amp; Robert (Cynthia) Van Rensselaer, great niece Melody Leeper, special friend Linda Dieteman and several more nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Archie S. Keith, Sr., whom she married November 23, 1940 in Brocton and who died July 14, 1986 and by an infant son Archie S. Keith, Jr. who died February 6, 1958.</p>
<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday morning from 10 &#8211; 11 o&#8217;clock, from where Funeral Services will follow at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.  Private Interment will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Portland.</p>

Meadows, Sr., 79, of Miller Road, Fredonia died Tuesday, May 1st, at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, following a short illness.  He was born in the Town of Arkwright, on June 30, 1932, the son of the late Walter W. and Emma (Watrous) Meadows.</p>
<p>He was a graduate of Forestville Central High School, Class of 1950, worked as a Machinist for the former Al-Tech Specialty Steel, Dunkirk, for over 40 years and was also a Dairy Farmer all of his life.  Mr. Meadows was a member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church, the Polio Survivor Group in Jamestown, SOAR in Dunkirk and was a former member of the United Steelworkers Union.  He enjoyed bowling, his family and was a die hard Buffalo Bills Fan.</p>
<p>Survivors include three daughters, Cindy (Joe) Miller, of Houston, TX, Peggy Bouquin, of Cassadaga, Paula Meadows, of Houston, TX, six sons Willis E. (Chris) Meadows, Jr., of Cassadaga, Walter Meadows, of Heath, OH, Gregory (Peggy) Meadows, of Silver Creek, Ernest Meadows, of Dalton, GA, Edward (Monica) Meadows, of Stanley, NC, David (Tammy) Meadows, of Cassadaga, two step daughters, Renee Hoffman, Lisa (Lloyd) Pasinski, a step son, Sterling Langford, a sister, Lena (Norman) Dix and a brother, Nelson R. (Janet) Meadows, both of Forestville.  He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son Thomas Meadows, 2 sisters Emma Van Valkenburg and Agnes Hilton, 3 brothers Theodore, Charles and Walter J. &#8220;Corky&#8221; Meadows, a granddaughter Aimee Jo Meadows and a grandson Jamie Meadows.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>FORESTVILLE:  Alvin A. Tatchell, 74, of South Dayton/Silver Creek Road, Forestville, died Wednesday, April 25th, at Heritage Village Skilled Nursing Facility, Gerry.  He was born in the Town of Dayton, on January 11, 1938, the son of the late Allen and Mary (Howard) Tatchell.</p>
<p>Mr. Tatchell was a graduate of the former Pine Valley High School, Class of 1955, worked for the former Muench Tanning Factory in Gowanda for 30 years, retiring in 1985, at one time owned &amp; operated the former Forest Lanes Bowling Alley in Forestville and also worked as a Custom Picture Framer for both the former Gazebo in Fredonia and from 1999-2003 he worked for The Paper Factory.  Mr. Tatchell enjoyed bowling- where he was a Junior Bowling Instructor for many years, fishing, camping and woodworking- which included making many wooden lawn ornaments.</p>
<p>Survivors include three daughters, Tane (Rod) Rogers, Teri (Keith) Fish, both of Forestville, Toni Kelley, of Silver Creek, two step sons Michael (Amy) Johnson and Jason Johnson, both of Forestville, two sisters, Donna Brittain, of Kentucky, Barbara Dorman, of Jamestown and a brother, Doug (Linda) Tatchell, of Forestville.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and several nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Marleah Johnson who died April 14, 2011.</p>
<p>Family &amp; Friends are welcome to visit at the home of Tane &amp; Rod Rogers, 10533 Empire Road, Forestville this Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 2-6 pm. Olmstead, Jr., 49, of Versailles Road, Irving, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 24th, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.  He was born in Silver Creek on August 12, 1962, the son of the late Donald R. Olmstead, Sr. and Mary (Simpson) Sutter.</p>
<p>He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Hauling Freight Lines, Angola, for 19 1/2 years.  Mr. Olmstead was a past member of the &#8220;Woodcutters&#8221; Bowling Team at the former Forest Lanes Bowling Alley in Forestville.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farm equipment, outdoor activities and spending time with his children &amp; grandchildren.</p>
<p>Survivors include a daughter, Brandy L. Olmstead, a son, Joseph C. Olmstead, both of Irving,  three sisters, Laurie Gallivan, of Silver Creek,  Amy McCoy, of Fredonia, Angel Lutgen, of Sherman, a brother, Daniel (Kelly) Olmstead, of Forestville, a step brother, Gary Sutter, of Forestville, two step sisters, Diane (Jim) Andrews, of Erie, PA and Cindy (Chris) Parke, of Smith Mills.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren McKayla Ann Olmstead, Mason Olmstead and Joshua Guadagno, lifelong friend Sandra Mahle of Forestville and several cousins, nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step father William C. Sutter.</p>
<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>FORESTVILLE:  Raymond L. Kirkland, 80, of Quarry Road, Forestville, died Tuesday, April 17th, peacefully in his sleep at home.  He was born in West Seneca on June 16, 1931, the son of the late Lee and Catherine (Esser) Kirkland.</p>
<p>He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.  He worked as an Iron Worker for Union Local #6 in Buffalo.  He lived in Forestville for 30 years, loved the outdoors and his grandchildren.</p>
<p>Survivors include his wife, of 52 years, Patricia M. (Nowak) Kirkland of Forestville.  two sons Mark  Kirkland, of Forestville, Matthew Kirkland, of Virginia, two sisters, Marion Frederickson, Rita, and two brothers, Howard and Marty Kirkland.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces &amp; nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Robert Kirkland and by 2 sisters Dolores Sjyka &amp; Joan.</p>
<p>There will be no visitation or services observed.  The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Forestville Fire Dept. Teachman, 67, of Hanover Road, Silver Creek, died Saturday, April 14th, at TLC/HN-Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, following a brief illness.  She was born in Dunkirk on September 3, 1944, the daughter of the late David Joseph and Irene (Addington) Knight.</p>
<p>She attended Dunkirk School #5 and started work in 1975 as a Developmental Aide &amp; LPN for the former JN Adam Hospital, Perrysburg and WNYDDSO in Fredonia, for 27 years, retiring in March 2003.  Mrs. Teachman was also an EMT, attended St. Joseph RC Church, Fredonia, was a member of Dunkirk Moose Lodge #89 and Samuel Cimino VFW Post #6472, Silver Creek.  She also volunteered for many local organizations and loved traveling, bingo, crocheting &amp; pets.</p>
<p>Survivors include her husband Charles H. Teachman, of Silver Creek, whom she married on June 29, 1985, in Silver Creek, two daughters, Mari (Keith) Frederickson, of Silver Creek, Darlene Espersen, of Dunkirk, two sons Robert (Roberta) Deet, Jr., of San Jose, Illinois, Raymond (Hazel) Deet, of Silver Creek, two step daughters, Teri (Michael) Weinheimer, of Sheridan, Pat (Ted) Duffield, of Temple, Texas, a step son, Andy Teachman, of Kentucky and a brother, David (Linda) Knight, of Dunkirk.  Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren &amp; several nieces &amp; nephews.</p>
<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Charles J. Zadora, pastor of St. Joseph RC Church, Fredonia, officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Town of Hanover.</p>

<p>GOWANDA:  Doris I. Waters, 95, a resident of Gowanda Rehabilitation &amp; Nursing Center, Gowanda, formerly of South Dayton and Palmetto, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 14th, at her residence.  She was born in South Dayton on February 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Charles F. Seileman and Mayme A. (Miller) Seileman Brown.</p>
<p>She was a graduate of the former South Dayton High School, Class of 1934 and worked as a clerk for the former Bernard Simon&#8217;s Store in South Dayton, for 20 years.</p>
<p>Survivors include a daughter, Janice (Glenn) Scott, of Pope Haven, Randolph &amp; Palmetto, FL, 4 grandchildren- Jacolyn (Stanley) Dybka of Cherry Creek, Vicki (Keith) Giraud of Middletown, NY, Randall (Julie) Scott of Cherry Creek and Douglas Smith &amp; Stephen Kolodziejewski of Mt. Laurel, NJ, 10 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Alvin Waters, whom she married Sept. 19, 1936 in South Dayton and who died February 27, 1997, by a daughter Diane Smith, who died April 19, 1999, by a granddaughter Robin Confora who died January 26, 1991 and by 3 sisters.</p>
<p>There will be no visitation observed.  Private Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Villenova Cemetery, South Dayton.</p>
